Komal has been in the field of education for the past 30 years. She is a gold medalist from the University of Delhi. She started her career with The Shri Ram School and went on to be the youngest Principal of their Senior school at the age of 36. Under her able leadership the school was ranked number 1 consistently for three years from 2010-13. After spending 20 years with the school, she moved on to take the responsibility of Director, Curriculum & Training, VidyaGyan Schools run by the Shiv Nadar Foundation in 2013. Post her stint with the VidyGyan Schools, she became a full- time teacher trainer & conducted numerous trainings at Scindia School, Gwalior, Mayo School, Ajmer, Carmel Convent School, Chandigarh, Sanskaar Valley, Bhopal to name a few. She took over as the Principal, Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan in the year 2018. She left the flagship institution in 2023. She is on the board of Vishwas, a not-for-profit organization working in the field of Disability and Inclusive Development. She is also on the school managing committee of Sagar School. She is a passionate educator & firmly believes that ‘schools should be places to learn not teach.’
