Learners listened, asked questions, and explored perspectives beyond their immediate surroundings. The conversation opened a window into the Philippines, including its people, culture, traditions, and way of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More importantly, learners discovered that global learning is not just about collecting facts on another country. It is about being curious and listening with openness. It is also about finding connections between people and cultures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From Conversation to Canvas<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next, the learning moved from conversation to canvas. <strong>Filipino artist Anna Karina Jardin<\/strong> led a creative workshop for our learners. What began as a blank canvas became a shared space for ideas and imagination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Learners worked together to create a large-scale masterpiece, bringing individual thoughts into one frame. Learners explored the foundations of literacy through guided, step-by-step letter formation. Gradually, they grew in confidence and independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From letters, they moved to words. Through <strong>storytelling<\/strong>, they then discovered how words come alive. Listening, imagining, responding, and sharing their thoughts helped learners see literacy as more than writing. It became a way of finding their voice and connecting with others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stories From the Philippines<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The connection continued through stories. <strong>Volunteer mothers<\/strong> visited the Vega Schools Sector 48 campus to share stories from the Philippines. As the stories unfolded, learners travelled into a world of traditions, memories, values, and imagination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Philippines was no longer just a place on a map.
