Schools play a vital role in imparting quality education and knowledge to students. After all, a person spends nearly a fifth of his\/her life going to school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Merging Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics is the current buzzword in the\u00a0best schools in Gurgaon<\/a><\/strong>. STEM education focuses on quality education. But does every student really need to learn STEM skills? Here, I am answering some of the frequently asked questions based on STEM education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is STEM Education?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As already mentioned above, STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. It is an interdisciplinary program introduced in the education system which will provide a platform for innovation and creativity for the students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why STEM Education for my child?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each STEM component brings a valuable contribution to education.
Science gives an in-depth understanding of the world around us and helps to become better at critical thinking.
Technology prepares young minds to work in an environment full of high-tech innovations.
Engineering allows students to enhance problem-solving skills.
Mathematics enables students to analyze data, eliminate errors, and make decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the perfect age to start STEM education?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love tennis. Why? Because it was introduced to me in my early childhood, and going to outdoor games was a regular weekend activity for me. Each and every one of us can probably undergo the same exercise of looking at our interests now as adults, and trace it all back to early childhood memories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It would not be wrong to say that by learning STEM early on, kids are better prepared for school and future careers. Some of the\u00a0Top Gurgaon schools<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0have introduced STEM curricula in early, middle, and high levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How does STEM provide quality education?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Critical Thinking & Innovation –<\/strong> STEM is not the teaching of one subject but rather the integration of all four subjects. For example, students might learn about electricity and wind power in their science and technology classes and then learn about the discovery and invention of electricity in history classes. This interdisciplinary connection of STEM subjects helps how relevant lessons are outside of the classroom and how they can interact with STEM in different ways. It also challenges students to think critically and come up with their own solutions to deal with real-world situations. As a result, students who receive a quality STEM education are primed to become the next generation of innovators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PBL (problem-based learning) –<\/strong>\u00a0One of the most exciting things about STEM is seeing curiosity build in students. STEM education focuses on problem-based learning methodology where a student\u2019s questions are more intuitive. This curiosity equips students to respond to real-world challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Collaboration –<\/strong>\u00a0Whether students are collaborating on science projects or working together on math problems, they are developing interpersonal and collaboration skills. They collaborate to solve a problem and, in the end, they come to know the importance of working with each other and flourishing in a complete team-building environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
