Major Population of Gurgaon belongs to the corporate sector. Big industrial units and manufacturing houses pay a considerable salary to their workers in Gurgaon. These employment openings and large-scale industrial setups in Gurgaon attract people from the working class who come here for jobs and eventually settle here.
Reasons for Rapid Growth of Population in Gurgaon

The sex ratio of Gurgaon was recorded at 853 ladies per 1000 males in 2011. Education institutions and colleges in Gurgaon play a vital part in perfecting the literacy rate in the city.
Thus, there is a huge untapped education potential in Gurgaon given the rapid flux in urban population with better infrastructure amenities.
